Why are Form 15CA and 15CB Required?

A Form 15CA is a declaration that is used to collect the information which is related to the payments that are chargeable to tax with Non-residents. It is a useful system that provides an effective information processing system. The Income Tax Department can also use the Form 15CA to trace the foreign transactions and their nature to determine their taxation. 

A Form 15CB is a form that is required to be signed by a chartered accountant. This is a certificate that confirms that you have paid all your pending taxes.

      Here are the simple and easy steps to file Form 15CA and Form 15CB. 

       

      Application process to file Form 15CA: 

      • You need to visit the e-filing portal. 
      • No, you need to select the File income tax forms by clicking on the e-file tab. 
      • Select the Form 15CA by clicking on others. 
      • Choose the financial year and select your file type as revised/original. 
      • Now, you need to enter all he information in the different parts of the Form 15CA. 
      • In part A of the Form 15CA, you need to enter remittance information. 
      • On part B of the Form 15CA, you need to enter details of the remitter, remittance, and AO order. 
      • In part C of the Form 15CA, you need to confirm the verification and do your e-verification of the Form 15CA through the digital signature certificate. 
      • On the last part of the 15CA, you need to verify all the information and confirm all information before the file. Additionally, you will also get a confirmation message and an acknowledgement number. 

      

      Application process for filing Form 15CB: 

      • You need to go to the official e-filing portal. 
      • Then you need to select the My Account tab option and select Form 15CB.  
      • Your CA will complete all the remaining parts of the Form 15CB. 
      • Now, you need to download your Form 15CB in the XML file format and are ready to upload it. 
      • Then you need to upload the Form on the e-filing portal, and enter all the information, like the PAN of the assessee, PAN of CA, Form name and filing type. 
      • Then you need to click on generate and click on the upload XML file. 
      • Now click on the submit button. 
      • Once you have uploaded the Form, your CA will log in to the portal and check the status of your Form, and you will be able to see the status of the Form.
