What Documents are Required for ITR?

To fill an income Tax return for the salaried employees, you need to submit the following documents given below: 
 

-You need to submit your valid PAN card

-Provide a valid Aadhaar card

-Filled Form-16 Part A and B from the employer

-Submit monthly salary slips

-Form 26AS

-AIS (Annual Taxpayer Statement)

-TIS (Taxpayer Information Statement)

    Here are the documents given for the different types of Income tax returns: 
     

    For getting house property: 
     

    • Provide any proof of rental income
    • Provide tenant information, like Name, Aadhaar, and PAN details
    • Details of the co-owners and the address of the property
    • Provide pre-constructed interest on the home loan if you have
    • Submit municipal tax receipts


    Documents Required to fill ITR on Capital Gains Tax: 
     

    • For the sale of immovable property, you need to submit improvement cost details, transfer expenses, the full address of the property, sale and purchase deeds, details of the buyer, and supporting documents if you are claiming the exemption under section 54 or 54EC
    • For the sale of equity shares and mutual funds, you need to submit capital gains statements from the KFinTech and CAMs for the sale of mutual funds, for the sale of equity shares, check with your broker, and for the other types of assets, submit documents showing information about the buyer


    Documents required to file an ITR on the interest income: 
     

    • Passbook or bank statement for the interest on a savings account
    • For the fixed deposit, you can submit interest income statements
    • TDS certificate from the banks and other financial institutions
