Yes, an NRI can show his business income, which he is receiving or getting in India from the registered business. But remember, if your income is generated from outside India, then you are not taxable in India. Here are some of the points that you need to remember:

  1. You need to file an ITR if your business income is above 2.5 lakh.
  2. As an NRI, you should run your business through Pvt/ Ltd, LLP, not a sole proprietorship.
  3. You must follow the rules and guidelines given by the FEMa and RBI if any foreign investments are involved.

At the end, as an NRI, you can run a business in India, but you have to pay the required tax and show your income in your ITR.
